The Oval Basin (Roald Dahl Plass) - Cardiff Bay

The 2008 Cardiff Multicultural Mela was held at the exclusive Oval Basin, Roald Dahl Plass in Cardiff Bay. It is located near the heart of the city centre so access is easy to a wide range of facilities including shopping centres, the Millennium Stadium, restaurants/bars, theatres, cinemas and Cardiff Museum.

Roald Dahl Plass (Welsh: Plas Roald Dahl) is a public plaza in Cardiff Bay, part of Cardiff, Wales. It is named after Cardiff-born author Roald Dahl and is located on the coast along the south of the city centre. The square is home to the Senedd (Welsh Assembly Building) and the Wales Millennium Centre, a performing arts centre. The bowl-like shape of the plaza has made it a popular amphitheatre for hosting open-air concerts. Many large festivals are organised at the venue, taking advantage of the venues excellent setting and accessibility.
