Below are some of the musicians that performed at the 2010 mela:

SULTAN-HU

Sultan Hu is made up of Ismael Ali who plays the guitar and is the main singer with more than 20 years of music experience. Hussain is on vocals and drums, and Jean on guitar, who also has 20yrs of music experience. They have produced 3 cds to date. Sultan-Hu are an international Sufi band, who try to spread a message of harmony, love and integration through their music. Recent performances include playing at Glastonbury music festival. This will be their third consecutive year at the Cardiff Multicultural Mela.

JON STERCKX

Jon Sterckx is a versatile percussionist and tabla player based in Devon. Jon studied tabla in India & the UK and also plays a range of other percussion instruments. He has worked across a wide range of musical styles, from traditional musical forms to contemporary experimental & 'fusion' styles, theatre & dance collaborations. His solo multi-percussion performances, "Drumscapes", use a range of percussion instruments, vocal percussion & live sampling. Tabla rhythms, Arabic drumming, Cajon & vocal percussion. www.drumscapes.net
